Designed by Miguel Mila in 1961, it has been reissued by the Spanish company Santa & Cole.

In the 60s, the designer discovered an abandoned opal globe in front of a glassworks, and so began the story of the Cesta lamp. Evoking its original function by its Spanish name, "basket", the Cesta was designed to be handled with care. Inspired by the traditional lanterns used to light coastal homes, country estates and open terraces, the Cesta has become one of the most emblematic lamps in Miguel Milá's work. Featuring an opal glass or polyethylene shade supported by a wooden or metal structure finely hand-worked using ancestral bending techniques, this lamp combines elegance and functionality, remaining contemporary despite its singularity.

Cesta is a true symbol of Mediterranean warmth and well-being. It's ideal for creating a welcoming atmosphere for summer evenings on the terrace. On a patio, in a garden or even indoors, Wally Cesta will light your way to extended moments with family and friends.
