The Moon Jar table lamp by Eichholtz finds its inspiration in an 18th-century Korean porcelain jar, nicknamed for its gently curved shape and milky white hue, belonging to the collection of New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art. These "moon jars", popular during the 18th and 19th centuries under the Joseon dynasty (1392-1910), were traditionally made in two parts, then meticulously assembled by hand. During the firing process, the jar in question acquired a delicate peachy hue in places, testifying to the irregularities that exalt natural beauty.

The Moon Jar lamp, with its sandy finish and touches of brushed brass, is embellished with a mixed linen shade, handcrafted in the Netherlands. It gracefully reinterprets the timeless essence of the antique Korean jar, capturing its aesthetic subtleties and the singular beauty of its imperfections.
