DEMARQUAI - STUDIO GAZELLES
The original layout, characterized by a long, dark corridor and a succession of partitioned rooms, has been redesigned to streamline circulation and encourage the inflow of natural light. The apartment is now organized into two separate units: a totally self-contained 23 m² studio, and an 82 m² family apartment comprising living room, kitchen, two bedrooms, bathroom, separate toilet and dressing room.
The kitchen, installed in a former bedroom, becomes the heart of daily life. Open to the entrance hall, it structures the space without weighing it down, and is organized around a counter to encourage shared use. Light-colored materials - Italian terrazzo, Corian, light-colored wood - enhance the luminosity and give the project a sober, sustainable aesthetic. Opposite, the living room retains its Haussmann volumes and original features, lightened by a streamlined layout allowing light to circulate.
The night spaces have been custom-designed, with particular attention paid to integrated storage, color schemes and the enhancement of existing elements, such as moldings and original niches. The bathroom, completely restructured despite its limited surface area, features a bathtub, shower and laundry area thanks to precise organization and assertive graphic choices.
The 23 m² studio completes the project. With independent access from the landing and a balcony, it offers genuine autonomy while remaining in line with the aesthetic continuity of the whole.
