CHALET PIERRE FINE - SPLIT STUDIO
Complete renovation of a 300m2 chalet in Méribel.
Here, the owners wanted to give their main residence dating from the 90s a facelift. The key words were brightness, functionality and durability.
Ground floor: A major refreshment was carried out to create unity with the rest of the chalet, without modifying the volumes, apart from enlarging the sports room over the former office.
The bulk of the work was on the ground floor. Most of the work was done on the first floor, where spaces were very compartmentalized and lacked light. A layout at odds with the lifestyle of our customers, who love to entertain friends around a good table.
To achieve this, we knocked down all the partitions and created openings in the load-bearing walls (underpinning), as well as bay windows to bring in natural light.
The location of the bedroom and living areas was reversed so that they open directly onto the terrace and garden. On the ground floor (R+1), the void over the living room was eliminated, enabling us to enlarge the office area, which is now home to a relaxation area.
As for the two guest bedrooms, they have been reorganized to create a new living space. As for the 2 guest bedrooms, they were kept but reorganized to create bathroom/dressing areas more open to their rooms.
