NEUILLY SUR SEINE - ATELIER FB
Before entrusting it to us, they had chosen to live in the apartment for just over 18 months to take the time to analyze its strengths and weaknesses. Real work was carried out on thermal and acoustic insulation (poorly insulated top floor under terrace, "weak" winter garden structure, glass doors to be replaced to eliminate noise from neighboring traffic).
We had to rethink the existing glass roof, with the same footprint but above all with technical athermic glazing (Saint-Gobain) to limit heat gain in a south-facing room. The project was also atypical in that, in addition to 2 bedrooms including a master suite extended by a vast dressing room, we worked on the design and layout of 3 kitchens!
A first "technical" kitchen in American Walnut, featuring a superb Miele piano, partitioned into the apartment. An open "ceremonial" kitchen, with an island decorated with a Quartzite Cristallo top, which has the same properties as alabaster: a translucent, luminous stone that lets light pass through in a delicate, subtle way.
The island is extended by a bench, as well as a table and chairs, all in walnut to recall the fronts of the first kitchen. A summer kitchen on the upper level has also been redesigned, making it easier to enjoy lunch on the 105m² rooftop terrace.
This kitchen has been discreetly extended by the office area, enabling telecommuting with a breathtaking view over the city's rooftops. The upper level offers a reading corner, a TV corner built into the library, and finally that extraordinary living space that is the terrace, completed by the summer kitchen that offers a splendid view of it.
It's a project we're really proud of. Apart from the good fortune of being offered an apartment with so much potential, the customers' confidence in our proposals, in the design of the furniture, in the choice of fixtures, has been most gratifying.
Just look at the two-material entrance cabinet (greige lacquer and light oak grain), with its cut sides, into which an LED lighting fixture (Catellani & Smith) is subtly integrated.
