At the crossing point of the craftsmanship and the technology, the Italian designer Federico de Majo founded the lighting house Zafferano in 2001.

Stemming from the tradition of glassware specific to the island of Murano, the brand offers decorative and designed lighting in mouth-blown glass. Thanks to the diversity of colors and the possibilities of customization, Zafferano lights are the asset for large rooms with minimalist decoration.

The unique expertise of the master glassmakers is highlighted in the glass finishes, such as the “balloton” reliefs of the Romeo e Giulietta pendant light or the “rigadin” design of the Bonnie e Clyde collection. For a more colorful style, we find, for example, the Mariposa wall lights made in Murano glass.

In search of the latest technologies, Federico de Majo created the range Ai Lati in 2005, which offers more functional lightings. He combines handmade glassware with the latest LED innovations. Timeless and discreet, these geometric shape lightings are, for the part, usable indoor or outdoor thanks to an IP54. To light up the outdoors, the SOLAR wall light has a solar panel to charge its battery and a motion detector. With its airy structure, the HOME table lamp maintains the minimalist spirit of the brand with a satin finish.

Today, Zafferano adapts to the desire of escape with the lampe-à-porter collection which frees itself from wires thanks to an integrated and rechargeable battery. The lightings are made with resistant materials to transport them without any damage. They have also a dimmer to create special atmospheres according to your desires.

All the lightings are made in Italy and handmade.
