Leni Piëch

Leni Piëch is the founder of Studio Sphaer, a design studio based in Vienna, Austria. A graduate of London's Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, she has developed a sensitive and committed approach to design, at the crossroads of craftsmanship, sustainability and artistic expression. Her universe, both contemplative and rigorous, draws on her childhood, marked by an intuitive relationship with shapes and materials. Drawing, practiced from an early age, has remained at the heart of her creative process.

At Studio Sphaer, Leni Piëch is developing a philosophy she calls "worlding": a way of conceiving objects as worlds in themselves, capable of creating links between people, places and emotions. Each creation is conceived as a fragment of a narrative, an invitation to attention and resonance. She designs durable pieces, with clean lines and strong visual impact, that stand the test of time without submitting to it. Light, in particular, becomes a narrative material that shapes atmospheres and reveals the invisible.

Since 2022, she has been working closely with designer Bade Erol, with whom she shares the same formal demands and artistic sensibility. Together, they develop a minimalist, expressive visual language, nourished by their respective experiences and a vision of design as a vehicle for emotional connection. This collaboration enriches the studio's identity, infusing it with an ongoing dialogue between conceptual reflection and sensory exploration.
