Bia is a suspension lamp by Leni Piëch and Bade Erol for Austrian brand Sphaer, designed in 2023.

This luminaire embodies an expressive, artisanal approach, blending contemporary design with mythological inspiration.

Its conical silhouette combines hand-blown transparent glass, a pink-tinted inner funnel, matte dark-green ceramic and matte lacquered light-green wood. The soft yet assertive color palette emphasizes the quiet strength that emanates from Bia. Suspended above a central island, in a living room or entrance hall, it asserts a sculptural presence and diffuses an enveloping light, ideal for creating a serene, lived-in atmosphere.

Featuring a non-dimmable, 360° diffusing LED light, the Bia suspension rests on a gold-silver finish iron tube, adjustable in height (3 x 30cm tubes are included for height adjustment). It measures 58 cm in diameter for a height of 49 cm. Each piece is handcrafted, making each one unique, with slight variations in surface finish possible.
