Born from an experimental project, the Elastica luminaire designed by Studio Habits for Martinelli Luce is full of surprises.

The initial idea of ​​Studio Habits was a "ground-sky" textile lamp, that is to say a luminaire large enough to connect the floor and the ceiling. Thanks to a prototype made of elastic suspenders, they think of exploiting the elastic properties of the material to create a lamp which would symbolize the intensity of light. Their idea is made possible by an elastic LED strip.

We then discover a luminaire of great finesse, whose elasticity of the light source and the textile used makes it possible to draw a line between the floor and the ceiling. Elastica is made of an elastic fabric strip in which a flexible LED strip has been running along its entire length. To keep the luminaire taut, the upper end is to be fixed to the ceiling while a counterweight connects the structure to the ground and stabilizes it. Characteristic of the culture of Studio Habits, a real interaction is created between the luminaire and the user.

The elasticity of this lamp allows it to adapt to its environment. Its bright colors bring a touch of pop and the sensor system makes this lamp playful. The Elastica lamp is therefore perfect for personalizing a bedroom or brightening up a living room.

The 2700K, 23W LED source is included. Elastica turns on and off with a "pull and release" system. A slow extension up or down allows you to vary the intensity. This light plugs into an electrical outlet. The elastic headband can be stretched between 250cm and 300cm.
