Launched during the IMM Cologne fair in January 2020, the floor lamp Plissée is a collaboration between the German designer Sebastian Herkner and the brand ClassiCon.

Plissée seems to be a floating balloon of light. A lamp shade in handblown glass rests on a metal base. The glass is blown in such a way that the hard material mimics pleated textile, a true technical prowess. The light enables a soft union of traditional craftmanship and industrial component, dear to the process of the designer. A dimmable LED creates the individually desired level of light, whether it be a reading light for the bedroom or a bright spot for the living room.

Plissée is composed of a metal vase, available in three finishes: aluminium, black or bronze lacquered, or brass anodised lacquered, and a handblown lamp shade with satin-finished opal glass with pleated surface. The light is set on black felt gliders. The lamp has an pish smith integrated in top of the metal frame, variably dimmable with memory function. The bulb is not included (LED 19W / 24 V (110 – 230 V) / 2200 lm / 2700 K).
