Designed by TAF Architects for the Danish company Muuto, the Rime suspension is a Scandinavian-style luminaire with a surprisingly refined, timeless look.

Rime brings an elegant perspective to glass suspension thanks to its unique sandblasted semi-transparent glass. The preciously shaped globe is made of mouth-blown glass. The idea was also to make the top as subtle as possible.

According to studio TAF: "Designing simple things is often one of the hardest things to do... We were inspired by the shape of tassels for the suspension's soft lines while alluding to the nuanced expression of ice and rush for the glass design, allowing light to shine lightly through, with a refined touch."

Rime can be integrated into any interior. It's perfect for kitchens, dining rooms and living rooms. It's available in four colors and four sizes, so it can be used on its own or in clusters for a modern chandelier.

This red model measures 37cm in diameter and 45.5cm in height.

The PVC cable measures 4m.

The light source is not included, but Muuto recommends an E27 LED source with opal or frosted diffuser - Ø6cm X 11cm - 750-1500 lm (8-12 W LED) .

The 11cm diameter, 3.5cm high rosette is included.

The box containing the Rime suspension includes a set of gloves, which Muuto recommends wearing when assembling the lamp to preserve the unique surface of the material and avoid fingerprints.
