Used as a shield, cymbals first appeared in Ancient Greece. Nowadays a percussion instrument, the musical origin comes from the fact of hitting one's shield with one's weapon to scare the enemy and encourage one's self for war. The Cymbal applique is directly inspired by this musical instrument.

Thanks to the materials used, Cymbal brings a real Japanese touch to your home. The lampshade is made of velvet for the upper part and bamboo for the lower part. This effect of materials allows to distinguish clearly the two cymbals.
