Wall lamp, Matrice, mat brass finish, IP44, Ø12cm, H15.5cm - Saint-Louis

The splendid Matrice applique is signed by the Dutch designer Kiki van Eijk for the prestigious French crystal house Saint-Louis.

It was at the large mould warehouse in Saint-Louis that designer Kiki van Eijk, a graduate of the Design Academy Eindhoven, had one of those love at first sight moments that don't deceive. The idea was born to make a crystal lamp in the shape of a mold, whose gradual opening, by hand, releases the enclosed light, softened by a Japanese paper screen. And because this lamp gives birth, to call it "Matrice".

In her approach, the Dutch designer wanted to highlight the tools that are at the origin of Saint-Louis creations. She gave the objects of the Matrice collection the atypical and singular shape of the mould, trimming them by hand.

The Matrice collection is available in wall light and table lamp versions.

This IP 44 wall light with a gold finish measures 12cm in diameter and 15.5cm in height.

Light source G9 max 25 W is not included.
