Restaurant Villa Verde - A matter of taste

Architect: a matter of taste

Lighting:
Nedgis

Location: Abidjan

Solicited to restore a characterful building constructed with materials typical of the style of the 60s, young Ivory Coast, all nestled in a tropical garden of the same period, we were won over by the poetry that emanated from the whole. The owners' aim was to create a little corner of the South here, with its flavors, scents and colors, offering gourmets a culinary experience reminiscent of the Mediterranean coast.

We were committed to preserving the existing terracotta floor tiles and white stone lace shading the terraces, while enhancing the overall look with terracotta, pain brûlé and absinthe green tones.

We gleaned know-how from Moroccan ceramists, Italian cutlers, French weavers and Lebanese cabinetmakers, who happily crossed paths on Ivorian soil.

But for this work to be truly accomplished, a custom lighting scheme was essential. For this, Nedgis provided us with expert guidance, and we proudly illuminated our ceilings with the Flame series, guiding our customers' gaze towards these shoreline-inspired bursts of light.
