Pierre Disderot opens “Les Ateliers Disderot“ in 1948, where he gathers young talented designers like Pierre Guariche, Olivier Mourgue, Joseph-André Motte or Michel Mortier.
After the redeem of “Les Ateliers Disderot“ in 1984, the Skoda company focused on architectural lighting and left the decorative lighting out.
In 2016, the Disderot archives are re-opened, and the company’s directors decide to re-issue some iconic designs from 2017, in order to perpetuate the work of a precursor of modern lighting.
Disderot is now a house dedicated to the re-issue of mythics 50s to 70s lights.
Thanks to those re-issues, the brand Disderot makes the intemporal spirit of the 50s to the 70s last.
To make sure that the work of the talented designers is respected, the lights are re-issued faithfully in accordance with the original work.
Fully French, the lights are accompanied with an authenticity certificate.
