Whoever looks at the Meshmatics Chandelier will never guess what is behind its sophisticated exterior.

Inspired, Rick Tegelaar elevated the nature of humble wire mesh by developing a machine and a set of tools to accurately model it. The full potential of this thin and flexible material is then stretched and captured in three layers of beauty.
The intelligent structure of the wire mesh reflects and diffuses the light of the integrated LED with poetic grace, helping to keep the light source cold by absorbing some of its heat. The luminaire is suspended by a 4m cable.
