Designed in 1966 by Italian architect, sculptor and designer Angelo Mangiarotti, the Saffo table lamp is an iconic work where art and design meet.

Reissued by the Danish firm Karakter, this rare piece testifies to Mangiarotti's talent for mastering shapes and materials. Made from blown glass, it features a soft, organic silhouette reminiscent of a mushroom. The lower part in white glass elegantly conceals the light source, while the gradual transparency towards the top allows a diffuse, soothing light to filter through. A veritable sculpture of light, Saffo is as seductive switched off as it is switched on, revealing the full craftsmanship of Italian glass.
