The timeless BL6 wall lamp was designed in 1930 by Robert Dudley Best, a British designer strongly influenced by the Bauhaus school.

In continuous production since its inception, the Bestlite BL6 wall lamp remains true to its industrial roots and original design.

The wall lamp features a movable arm and shade. It fits perfectly into a hallway or office. It is ideal as a bedside lamp or in the kitchen where light needs to be directed.

The Bestlite lamp design was first adopted by Royal Air Force garages and engineering departments because of its high functionality. An article in Architects Journal, calling Bestlite the first evidence of Bauhaus in Britain, brought the lamp to the attention of design enthusiasts.

Bestlite is part of the permanent collections of London's Victoria & Albert Museum and Design Museum.

Appreciated by architects, designers and design enthusiasts throughout its long history, Bestlite has today become a contemporary classic.

This wall light measures 54cm high and 38cm deep. The lampshade has a diameter of 16cm and measures 13cm high. The stand has a diameter of 7.8cm and measures 14.5cm high. The white cable measures 250cm.

The bulb is not supplied with the wall light, we recommend a 2700 to 3000k E14 LED bulb.
