Discover this beautiful BL6 brass wall lamp signed by designer Robert Dudley Best for the Danish house Gubi.

The timeless BL6 wall lamp was designed in 1930 by Robert Dudley Best, a British designer strongly influenced by the Bauhaus school.

In continuous production since its inception, the Bestlite BL6 wall lamp remains true to its industrial roots and original design.

The lamp features a movable arm and shade. It fits perfectly in a hallway or an office. It is ideal as a bedside lamp or in the kitchen where light needs to be directed.

The Bestlite design was first adopted by garages and engineering departments of the Royal Air Force because of its high functionality. An article in Architects Journal, which called Bestlite the first evidence of Bauhaus in Britain, brought the lamp to the attention of design enthusiasts.

Bestlite is in the permanent collections of the Victoria & Albert Museum and the Design Museum in London.

Appreciated by architects, designers and design enthusiasts throughout its long history, Bestlite has now become a contemporary classic.

This wall lamp measures 54cm high and 38cm deep. The shade has a diameter of 16cm and measures 13cm high. The stand has a diameter of 7,8cm and measures 14,5cm high. The golden cable measures 250cm.
