Lantern is a wall light created by Sara Efia Reddin in 2020 for the collection of Golden Editions.

Lantern is a wall light composed of a long and narrow shade, and a cable with its canopy. The shade is hand-woven by craftsmen according to the tradition of Bolga weaving, a craft originating from the Bolgatanga region in Northern Ghana. The material used is grass, the Veta Vera grass : it is cultivated locally, harvested before being twisted and pulled until it becomes smooth and resilient reeds, that are finally hand-dyed with natural pigments. The rhythmic stripes with open weaved let the light shine through to create a cosy and natural atmosphere. Whether individually or in a group, Lantern is perfect in a corridor, in a living-room, or as a reading lamp in a bedroom.

The light source is not included (1x E27 bulb). The wall light is delivered with a gold fabric twisted cable and a brass canopy.

Lantern is available is three colours: natural/herb, natural/midnight, and natural/ginger.

The Lantern series is made of the wall light Lantern, as well as of the pendant lamps Hatter + Lantern and Deeply + Lantern.

Each piece is unique, some variations in size and shape are part of the artisanal process.

Shade woven in Ghana and suspension assembled in France.
