Women are in the spotlight. Does design really have a genre? Female designers tend to be outnumbered by their male counterparts whose appearances, works and achievements are constantly in the limelight. Now this time is well past; nowadays women in the world of design stand out and affirm their place. Independent and proud to be, architects, designers or both, they are the new stars on the international scene. Farewell to the time when they acted in the shadow of men. From now on, they control their own agency, rub shoulders with the business and do not forbid either technology or, even less, experimentation.
They are, for example, at the origin of great design classics such as the famous Pipistrello from Martinelli Luce or the famous Elise Fouin, for the Forestier house. Elise Fouin is among the designers of tomorrow selected by Elle Decoration and Maison Française magazines. She practices "the art of recycling" and highlights the materials used to better reinvent them.
Women also have a strong affinity for sweet and poetic atmospheres. Susanne Nielsen, the flagship designer of Ebb and Flow, is a beautiful incarnation. She is inspired by the colors and shapes that surround her, as well as the work of mouth blown glass.
