Introducing the atypical Aida table lamp!

The astonishing Aida table lamp was designed by Angelo Mangiarotti in 1988 and is now produced by Karakter.

Angelo Mangiarotti is an Italian designer and architect whose vision of design is that every material should be respected and used appropriately and honestly. The Italian designer's work includes a wide range of creative sculptural projects.

The Aida lamp is one of Mangiarotti's most distinctive designs, both in terms of its shape and the materials used. The Italian designer has created an almost sculptural lamp, combining two large volumes that are connected only by a thin stem that at first glance seems too weak to support the large volume of the lampshade. This optical effect demonstrates Mangiarotti's incredible talent, referring to the structures in his architecture for which he is so famous.

The lamp's striking yet modern design gives it a beautiful sculptural appearance, creating a soft indirect light projected by its 41 cm diameter shade. This timeless lamp is perfect on an occasional table or chest of drawers, and is ideal for any room in the home.

This design icon measures 61cm high and the diameter of its shade is 40cm. We recommend using an E27/6.1W LED bulb, not supplied but available on our site.
