Designed by the famous Danish architect Jorn Utzon in 1947 (creator of the sublime Sidney Opera House, among other works), the suspension is published by the Danish firm Andtradition. The Utzon suspension, with its simple, round shapes, refers to ocean liners and the waves of the North Sea. It has become a design icon and has stood the test of time!

Commemorating the 50th anniversary of the completion of the Sydney Opera House, this special edition of Utzon's luminaire brings a bold new hue and striking new character.
The Steel Blue color is inspired by the opera house's surroundings and one of Utzon's favorite hues, steel blue. Inspired by the opera house itself, the high-gloss finish reflects the ceramic glaze of the chevron-shaped Swedish tiles on the building's roof.
The retro-look suspension is made of lacquered metal, and its construction allows for a quality lighting effect thanks to the two downward outlets.
