At the age of forty-four, Antoni de Moragas Gallissà designed the Moragas lamp for his own office, embodying his rational, modern approach to design. Published by Santa & Cole, this iconic lamp rests on a sturdy wooden cylinder, supporting a head with three radially arranged bulbs. The generous circular shade, made from cotton ribbon typically used for bookbinding, is adorned with a thread running along the edge, creating a charming asymmetry that plays on contrasts of light and shadow. Practical and aesthetic, the Moragas lamp also allows notes and business cards to be inserted between the folds of the ribbon, adding a personal and functional touch to its timeless design.
