Designed in 1962 by the Castiglioni brothers, the Arco floor lamp is a true design icon.

Arco represents minimalist elegance par excellence: nothing in its composition is decorative, everything has its own function and utility. When the two designers designed this lamp in 1962, they wanted to create a luminaire that would provide light above a table, but allow freedom of movement around it. As a result, an impressive two-meter width separates the light source from its base.

Arco is a feat of balance that visually defies all laws of gravity. Its immutability stems from a perfectly balanced composition. The base is formed by a block of Carrara marble - a favourite of the Castiglioni brothers - from which rises a steel arch holding a diffuser of the same material. The diffuser is perforated at the top, releasing a ballet of luminous bubbles onto the ceiling. This floor lamp is ideal for use above a dining table or in the heart of a living room. Airy and uncluttered, it brings chic, modernity and contemporary style to any interior.
