The Alambicco suspension, designed by Neil Poulton for Artemide, is a sculptural piece that celebrates the beauty of hand-blown glass.

Conceived as a modular luminaire, it combines an extruded aluminum core incorporating LED circuits on all four sides, with different layers of glass playing on transparency and texture. The first cylinder, in knurled glass, diffuses a soft, glare-free light, while revealing the inner structure. Around it, diffusers with fluid, transparent shapes, worked using the traditional balloton technique, enrich the luminous material and give Alambicco its poetic, refined character.

In an interior, Alambicco stands out as a strong decorative element, capable of transforming the mood of a room with its sculptural presence and warm lighting. Placed above a dining table, it creates an elegant, convivial focal point; installed in a living room or double-height space, it draws the eye and magnifies the surrounding architecture.

The suspension measures 121cm in length and 19cm in diameter.
