Immerse yourself in the 50s with the Model 548 table lamp designed by Gino Sarfatti for Astep!

Designed in 1951, this table lamp is a study in the balance and reflection of light through a screen, a recurring theme in Gino Sarfatti's work.
Model 548 provides both reflected and diffused light, thanks to the adjustable spotlight which is directed upwards towards a reflective screen.

The large orange methacrylate diffuser produces a highly sophisticated lighting effect and is an essential element in the illusion and play of perception. The white-lacquered aluminum spotlight is mounted on a tubular stem in polished or burnished brass, while a small brass bar at the base acts as a counterweight in the magnificent play of balance between the lamp's various elements.

In the re-edition, the original incandescent bulb has been replaced by an LED source (2700k and 738lm) and an optical dimmer has been discreetly integrated into the original design.
