Our lighting, design icons

These design masterpieces span the ages. Whether rare pieces or reissues, these style icons continue to influence new generations. An icon is an object that, in its day, was showcased at various events or trade shows and received numerous awards specifically recognizing it as a "success" or an "innovation"... Or it may be an object that has left a lasting mark on its era.
The famous Pipistrello by Martinelli Luce, a true homage to early 20th-century Art Nouveau in Europe, is a fine example. Its telescopic stem and shade, reminiscent of a bat’s wings, make it unique and iconic.

The Birdy lamp collection is another example. An icon of Scandinavian design, this collection is representative of the modernist period, designed in 1952 by the Norwegian Birger Dahl and reissued by Northern Lighting. Adjustable, functional, and very elegant, it is a symbol of retro style.

In Italy, the brands Artemide and Nemo Lighting have produced numerous icons... the Nesso lamp by Giancarlo Mattioli and the Tolomeo collection by Michele de Lucchi at Artemide, or the De Marseille collection by Charles de Corbusier at Nemo Lighting.

We can also mention the now-iconic Miffy children’s lamp; this table lamp designed by the Mr Maria studio, inspired by the famous Miffy character and created by Dutch illustrator Dick Bruna, is an icon for both children and parents. Its gentle look, round shape, and almost opaline white color have won over audiences of all ages... to accompany the nights or add a touch of fun to any living room.
