Hélène Pinaud and Julien Schwartzmann met on the benches of Strasbourg's École Nationale Supérieure d'Architecture. State graduates and valedictorians of their class, they founded the Heju studio in 2015 and sign a universe mixing Japanese and Scandinavian influences. They work around rectilinear lines and minimalist volumes to create timeless spaces. Their sensitive, spontaneous approach enables them to optimize spaces, challenge codes and customs, and advocate a return to emotion. They strive to breathe poetry into their customers' daily lives.

They prefer natural, living materials that develop a patina over time. White is the basis of their work. Color is used to create contrasts and reinforce the intent of a shape or architectural feature. The choice of materials, colors and textures is at the heart of their thinking, to create atmospheres that appeal to all the senses. They believe in the continuity between art, design and architecture. They imagine all their projects as a fusion of inspirations and disciplines.

Each project is unique and benefits from specific care. Their aim is to achieve an uncluttered simplicity that is not devoid of personality, and gives an impression of luminosity and calm. That's why they carry out all their projects with great attention to detail. For them, beauty lies in the simplest details.

They aim to be bold in all their architectural compositions, furniture lines and material combinations. Their aim is always to innovate, renew themselves and imagine singular projects. The organization of space and working with plans are of paramount importance to them. They seek to transform constraints into assets, so that the plan appears fluid and natural. Lines must always be simple and obvious, and alignment is essential. Their projects are the fruit of in-depth spatial and functional reflection, in keeping with the essence of the place and the lifestyle of their customers.
